Grace Harris will fill in for the injured Darcie Brown during the Bangladesh ODIs.
The Australian cricket board announced on Friday (March 15) that Grace Harris will step in for Darcie Brown during the ODI leg of Australia’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh.
Brown’s participation in the series was halted due to a navicular stress injury to her left foot, with her recovery timeline yet to be determined.
Originally slated for only the T20I segment of the tour, Harris will now need to depart earlier to join the rest of the squad.
Her involvement in the WPL concluded after her team, UP Warriorz, failed to progress beyond the league phase.
Jess Jonassen, initially part of the ODI squad, is notably absent, having been omitted.
However, the squad welcomes the return of fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck after a period of injury.
Heather Graham, initially on standby, will not travel due to illness.
The series is set to commence on March 21, featuring three ODIs and three T20Is.
This marks Australia’s inaugural bilateral series in Bangladesh, serving as crucial preparation for the T20 World Cup scheduled for September.
