Georgia Voll has been added to the Australia squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand

Australian opener Georgia Voll has been added to the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI tour of New Zealand, starting December 19, following her impressive debut series against India.
The 21-year-old made an immediate impact, scoring her maiden ODI century in just her second game at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, following a vital 46* in the series opener.
She is currently the top scorer of the series with 147 runs from two matches.
Voll’s form has been exceptional throughout 2024, including a standout performance in the Women’s Big Bash League, where she amassed 330 runs in 12 games, finishing as the fifth-highest scorer.
Her efforts helped Sydney Thunder reach the Challenger stage, where they were defeated by eventual runners-up Brisbane Heat.
Ellyse Perry praised Voll’s composure and maturity after her maiden century, stating, “She’s just really unflappable and takes every opportunity in her stride.
That’s all you can ask of any player – to push everyone around them and make the most of every opportunity.
Georgia’s firmly put herself in the minds of the team and selectors going forward.”
Voll had initially been named in the squad to face India as a replacement for captain Alyssa Healy, who was sidelined with a knee injury sustained during the Women’s Big Bash League.
Healy is on track to return to the Australian squad for the New Zealand tour, her first appearance since the Women’s T20 World Cup in October.
In addition to the squad change, New South Wales Breakers’ head coach Gavan Twining will join the team as a full-time fielding and wicket-keeping coach for the next two years, working alongside assistant coaches Scott Prestwidge and Dan Marsh.
