Mujeeb Ur Rahman is back in the Afghanistan squad for the Zimbabwe tour

Afghanistan have been strengthened by the return of Mujeeb Ur Rahman to their white-ball squads for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.
Mujeeb, who had been sidelined for several months, has now recovered from a right phalanx sprain.
Young top-order batter Zubaid Akbari has earned his first call-up to the national squad, making the cut for the T20I series.
Akbari has been in exceptional form in domestic cricket and was instrumental in Afghanistan’s successful campaign in the Emerging Asia Cup.
Darwish Rasooli, the captain of that side, also makes his return to the T20I setup after his impressive domestic performances.
However, Ibrahim Zadran will remain unavailable as he continues his recovery from ankle surgery, which he underwent in England a couple of months ago.
“It’s a great feeling to see our frontline spinner, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, recover from his injury and be available for selection,” said ACB Interim Chief Selector Ahmad Shah.
“He is a vital member of our squad, and we hope he continues to deliver strong performances for Afghanistan.”
“Additionally, Zubaid Akbari and Darwish Rasooli have been consistent performers, both in domestic cricket and in the recently concluded ACC Emerging Teams Cup, where Afghanistan claimed the title.
We have included both players in the T20I squad and wish them the best for the upcoming series.”
The tour will begin on December 11 with a three-match T20I series, followed by three ODIs.
After completing the white-ball leg in Harare, the two teams will face off in two Tests in Bulawayo.
